LOVELY CRASH

as you may know. we are playing midpoint music festival this year. so i thought i would copy and paste what they had to say about us.

Lovely Crash, a mainstay in the Cincinnati music scene for several years, now touring regionally, is one of the very few female fronted rock acts in town. They've perfected a unique sound mixing indie, pop and 90's rock, dragging punk to pop and grit to a whole new level. Powerful vocals and melodic slashing guitar riffs over out of control drums has propelled this group to the forefront... CitBeat says this about their latest album:"So Close finds LC still offering endearing melodies but shading its well-crafted brand of’90s/’00s Indie Guitar Rock (tighter than ever here) with darker tones, sounding like a natural extension of the soulful, no-BS Rock & Roll of The Gits and Sleater-Kinney." and "Beth Cheek turns in one of the more remarkable vocal performances you’ll ever hear on a local Rock album" On their first album..."Buddha Car has the rag-tag energy of Garage Rock, with the spike-and-sass kick of old-school Punk/New Wave and more than a little taste of pure Pop sophistication..." - CityBeat The Cincinnati Enquirer said "They're funny, vulgar,honest...A blend of rock and punk, edgy and sugary-sweet" And CinWeekly declares Buddha Car "A mixture of lo-fi punk energy and perfectly blended harmonies, the album is an instantly likable listening experience - all edge and melody" Lovely Crash has showcased their music at : Midpoint Music Festival, ChicksRockFest, Indie Summer on the Square and toured regionally and had opening slots with Ass Ponys, Sam Champion, Scout Niblett, The Bound Stems, Lowry, Oh My God, The LiarBirds, Roman Candle and more....and had their music used in several films.
